Technopolis Gazi — The Industrial Heart of Athens

Συναυλία στην Τεχνόπολη Γκάζι Αθήνα

In the heart of Athens, where the furnaces of the old gasworks once blazed, art, music, and creativity now flourish. Technopolis in Gazi is one of the country's most iconic cultural venues — and one of our favorites.

The gasworks operated from the 19th century until the 1980s. In 1999, the Municipality of Athens transformed it into a vibrant cultural hub, preserving its industrial aesthetic intact — the enormous metal tanks, bricks, and iron structures now serve as a backdrop for something entirely different.

What you'll find there

  • Major concerts and festivals with Greek and international artists
  • Design markets and contemporary art exhibitions
  • Workshops and educational activities
  • The Industrial Gas Museum — unique in its kind
  • Open spaces for events and cultural activities

Technopolis is not just a place — it's an experience. Its industrial identity converses with contemporary creativity in a way that makes you feel that history and the present coexist harmoniously.

If you find yourself in Athens, it's definitely worth a visit!
